 There's an unfortunate situation where, around 1955, some promoter had brought up a Rhythm 'n' Blues show to the … a hall at the local fair grounds, and along with the performers came several people, who are engaged in the sale of … ah … Bennies and … uh … Red Devils and all these bizarre pills, that they are pushing to the kids and sell the kids were on goof balls and all doped up and the Police were very upset and the parents were incensed (?) about the whole thing and they …hrm … had agreed among themselves, that they should never allow this type of music to penetrate the … ah … valley again.<br>
