==Frank Zappa==

Emmet was introduced to Frank Zappa in 1978, through [[David Ocker]]. He transcribed Zappa's music to musical scores, including for ''[[The Frank Zappa Guitar Book]]'' (1982). He invented an instrument that sounded like an ethereal tinkling sound, which Zappa used for ''[[Why Does It Hurt When I Pee]]'' on ''[[Joe's Garage]]'' (1979). Originally Zappa wanted to end Emmet's contract during the summer of 1982, since he no longer had something for him to do, but later he called him back, saying he felt bad that Emmet was now  without a job right before his marriage and rehired him for another year, reassuring him that he would find something to do for him again.
