Talk:Zappa In New York
A question on numbering (I dont want to make confusion, just as long as we are at the beginning...)
Should we use the numbering as included here by Barry (from 1 to 15), or should we note the 2 disks (if there are two), thus the numbering goes like: disc one: 1 to 7, disc 2: 1-8, maybe. Just to make it easier to make a comparison with the CD. Or would it make more mess? What do you think?
I was thinking the same actually Balint. I'll make the modification. - KillUglyRadio 05:25, 30 Aug 2005 (PDT)
But which version is this? Original issue? With Punky's Whips? Some say CD bears little relation to the old vinyl version? Perhaps a page for each issue and another one to tie in with the Läther stuff.

Does anybody have information regarding a cassette with catalog # Zappa Records TZAPPA 37 ?

Regarding the French edition on Zappa Records (Zappa 37):
The UPC listed here is correct except the last two digits are 31 on my copy.
I'm not sure it should be listed as version 1.2 since it uses the version of Punky's Whips that is on the CD rather than the original one. It makes more sense to call this an abbreviation of the CD version. The back cover has the censored version track listing, with no PW and the total time for side one listed as 10:55. The lyrics inside the gatefold and the labels have the correct uncensored track listing.
Thank you very much for these infos Ronankeane!
BTW the timings reported by eil.com are:
- Titties & Beer 6:29
- I Promise Not To Come In Your Mouth 3:33
- Punky's Whips 10:59
- Sofa 3:00
- Manx Needs Woman 1:56
- The Black Page Drum Solo/Black Page #1 4:07
- Big Leg Emma 2:17
- Black Page #2 5:43
- Honey, Don't You Want A Man Like Me 4:17
- The Illinois Enema Bandit 12:47
- The Purple Lagoon 18:00
I guess they are the ones printed on the labels.
