Alfred "Al" Viola (1919 - 2007)

Played guitar on Lumpy Gravy

Joined the army in 1941 and was stationed at Sacramento, CA where he joined a jazz trio. After the war they moved to Los Angeles and worked as a backing group for Frank Sinatra. Viola would back Sinatra for many years as well as pursue his own projects, and work on numerous sessions for records, films and TV shows.
