Val Valentine: a well respected sound engineer having worked with producer Norman Granz on recordings for his Verve label during the 1950's. When Granz retired from the recording world in 1962 he sold Verve to MGM Records and Valentine continued to work for them throughout the 1960's engineering many famous albums from the era including Freak Out!.
