Stanley Kubrick (1928-1999) was an American film director, best known for films such as "Dr. Strangelove" (1964), "2001: A Space Odyssey" (1968), "A Clockwork Orange" (1971) and "The Shining" (1980).
Zappa mentioned 2001: A Space Odyssey in his book Them Or Us (The Book).
