He played with Zappa in London, Ontario, on December 5, 1975 and in Detroit, Michigan, on November 19, 1976

Joined ex Mahavishnu Orchestra violinist Jean-Luc Ponty for the Enigmatic Ocean album [Atlantic, 1977] and a Live album [Rhino, 1978], which he describes as the "best example of my electric bass playing on record."

Having spent most of the 1980s raising his children he has returned to playing around Detroit and teaching at the Oberlin Conservatory.
