Ralph Humphrey, born in Berkeley, CA in 1944 recorded with the [[Don Ellis]] Orchestra in 1968 while still a student at California State College, Northridge, and joined the band in 1969, staying with Ellis until 1973. Ralph provided drums for [[Over-Nite Sensation]], [[Apostrophe (')]], [[Roxy & Elsewhere]], [[You Can't Do That On Stage Anymore Vol. 1]], [[You Can't Do That On Stage Anymore Vol. 3]], [[You Can't Do That On Stage Anymore Vol. 4]], [[You Can't Do That On Stage Anymore Vol. 6]], [[The Lost Episodes]], and [[Läther]]; also for the [[Beat The Boots]] series disks [[Piquantique(BTB)]] & [[Unmitigated Audacity(BTB)]].
