The first release on Jake Porter's label Combo Records by Chuck Higgins in 1952. The Mothers performed the song on stage and referred to it in the lyrics of Jelly Roll Gum Drop. The B side was a tune called Motorhead Baby which was to become the inspiration for Jim Sherwood's nickname.
