Jules Feiffer (26 January 1929) is a U.S. cartoonist and comics artist, most famous for his long-running satirical cartoon series Feiffer (1956-1997) in the Village Voice. Feiffer's cartoons became popular for expressing left-wing, progressive points-of-view about politics and society in a humorous way. By 1959 they were syndicated nationally. Feiffer won numerous awards for his work, including a 1986 Pulitzer Prize, and influenced countless alternative cartoonists.
