John Denver (1943-1997) was an American singer-songwriter of songs such as "Rocky Mountain High". In 1985, Denver, along with fellow musicians Dee Snider and Frank Zappa, testified against a record rating system before the US Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation.[1][2]
