The "CC"

I've noticed a lot of articles have an "(CC)" added in their title to stress out that they are part of conceptual continuity. Couldn't this "CC" be removed? After all, we can already check whether they are "CC" by looking at "Category:Conceptual Continuity at the bottom of the pages of these articles. It would help redirecting other articles to these pages as well.

The additional CC was required to distinguish Billy The Mountain from Billy The Mountain and Louie Louie from Louie Louie etc. etc. For my money... in general I feel that much of this CC stuff is overdone (people putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 5) and that it does not deserve more than a CC article and a paragraph or two at the end of the relevant individual articles. The problem is that we now have different articles for topics that are essentially the same: Michael Jackson and Michael Jackson (CC), Quentin Robert DeNameland and Quentin Robert DeNameland (CC),... If you search for these topics you wind up on a page where probably half of the information is listed in the other article with the same name. That's why I would strongly suggest to remove these "CC"'s and keep one article instead of several confusing ones who have the same topic. Personally I don't mind the "Category: Conceptual Continuity", because most of these clues are correct. If a topic, sentence or character returns more than once in Zappa's work then it is part of the conceptual continuity. And most of the time we can find more references than simply two or three. If we would just make one page to summarize all the possible conceptual continuities we just get one extremely long page with many topics that will be repeated. Dogs and Arf!, for instance. Just repeating stuff is not the same as a conceptual continuity. There is much that needs fixing. I would do away with both Michael Jackson articles myself (he is nothing to do with CC) and would just give him a brief mention on a list of names from the book. Duncan 15:01, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
