Born: John Leon Gaunerra, 21st May 1933, Cleveland, OH,

Bunk Gardner, brother of Buzz, started musically at age 7 with piano lessons from Elmira Snodgrass for 50 cents a lesson. At age 12, he branched out to clarinet, tenor sax, bassoon and flute. At age 33 he hooked up with FZ.
