Alfred "Al" Viola Born: Brooklyn, New York in 1919.
Joined the army in 1941 and was stationed at Sacramento, CA where he joined a jazz trio. After the war they moved to Los Angeles and worked as a backing group for Frank Sinatra. Viola would back Sinatra for many years as well as pursue his own projects, and work on countless sessions for records, films and TV shows including providing guitar on Lumpy Gravy.
