Al Malkin is a singer. He provided vocals on Joe's Garage Act I and Joe's Garage Acts II & III, playing the role of Officer Butzis and singing the line: "Hey, she gave me V.D.!" during Catholic Girls.

He can be seen in The True Story Of 200 Motels and Video From Hell. In the later video he shows with a banana how he wants a girl to blow him.

Al Malkin was mentioned and thanked in the liner notes of The MOFO Project/Object (2006) album. [1] He also wrote the foreword to the liner notes of the album Carnegie Hall (2011).

Warren Cuccurullo about Al Malkin

"Al's a friend - he's also known as 'Meatball'. We used to miss school together, listen to Frank and smoke pot. Frank offered to tape his life story. He was like the Wild Man Fischer of the 80's."
