A 1979 track by Lene Lovich, which was a Top 3 on the U.K. hit parade at the time. Zappa played the song as guest DJ on WPIX, New York (21 November 1979), Star Special (BBC Radio 1, 21 January 1980) and on KSJO, San Jose (2 April 1980).
Interviewed by Barry Alfonso for Songwriter (June 1980), Zappa commented on the song:
"I like 'Typical Girls' by the Slits, stuff by the Buzzcocks, one or two songs by the Police. I think one of the best records of last year was 'Lucky Number' by Lene Lovich. It's a good song, it has a fantastic arrangement and her singing is great." [1]
