Brian Epstein (1934-1967) was a British manager, best known as the manager of The Beatles. He died in 1967, from an overdose of sleeping pills that was later ruled accidental.

Zappa was hustling for a record deal. "Frank had been turned down by everyone trying to get signed." Bruce says. Epstein had a house in the hills in 1965 and had a party for The Beatles. Danny Hutton recalls "Frank came to the party with a whole pitch for Epstein with charts and diagrams and sat there working the room." - Canyon of Dreams: The Magic and the Music of Laurel Canyon

Epstein is included in the list of names on the cover of Freak Out!.
