The DiscReet Records label was created by Zappa in 1973 following the demise of his Bizarre and Straight labels. DiscReet operated until 1979 when Zappa's legal proceedings against Warner Bros. the label's distributor, led him to establish Zappa Records and Barking Pumpkin Records.
DiscReet issued material by Zappa, The Mothers Of Invention, Amboy Dukes, Kathy Dalton, Tim Buckley, Growl, Brenda Patterson and Denis Bryant.
